Fanal, this laurel forest in Madeira, holds a special place in my heart. The first time I came here in 2018, it felt like stepping into another world. Even though it was raining like crazy and we ended up soaked, I was completely hooked. The ancient trees, the mist, the atmosphere… This is one of my favorite places on earth.

So coming back two years later with friends and photographing them here was something else. We explored, laughed, and just soaked in the moment (thankfully not the rain this time).
