September brought me to the beautiful island of Madeira, where I spent a week in the company of wonderful friends, including Lisa and Henning. We had a photoshoot planned, though the location was still up in the air. The sun and the breathtaking scenery inspired us to head to the island’s third-highest peak – Pico do Arieiro. At the mountain’s summit, we were treated to a breathtaking sunset. With very few other tourists in sight, we practically had the place to ourselves. I couldn’t get enough and snapped photos until darkness set in. Even now, after three years, these shots remain among my personal favorites.
